Kindergarten
Phonics----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of the sound that the letter "Mm" makes----keyword----monkey. Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Ii" makes----keyword----inch. The students will learn that the letter "Mm" is a consonant letter and the letter "Ii" is a vowel letter.
Reading----The Kindergarten students will be reading phonics word lists and phonics words. Some of the phonics words to be read will be: mop, ham, mat, man, mom and map. The students will also read the booklet----"Hop on the Mop". Some "Ii" words to be read will be: pig, pin and lip. The students will also read Sight Words: the, a, I, see, color, and, my, go, name, an, not, at and one.
Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will be printing the letters "Mm" and "Ii". Phonics word sentences will also be printed.
Math----The Kindergarten students will learn about the terms----"Fewest, Most" and "Equalizing Sets".
Religion----The Kindergarten students will learn that "God Helps Us to Discover" His world.
Centers----The Kindergarten students will do "Play Dough Words and Letters", "Scribble Boards" for review and "Word Cards that slide".
First Grade
Phonics----The First Grade students will learn the "Digraph sh".
Reading----The First Grade students will read the stories----"Try Your Best" and "Fun With Fish". The booklets----"Just One More" and "At the Fish Shop"----will also be read.
English----The First Grade students will learn "Words That Mean the Same". Then, the students will review past items learned.
Spelling----The First Grade students will learn "Words With st". The spelling words are: nest, fast, stop, must, step and best. The Special Words are: your, their and other.
Math----The First Grade students will continue their study of "tens and ones" "Rocket Math" addition worksheets will be done. The students will also do two-digit number addition.
Religion-----The First Grade students will learn that "Jesus Sends the Holy Spirit".
Centers----The First Grade students will do "Play Dough Words", "Addition Wheels", "Word Wheels" "Word Cards that Slide" and the "Scribble Board" for review.
Reading Comprehension----The students will be working on their reading comprehension skills and their listening skills.
Science----The students will learn about "Homes For Living Things----Habitats"
Social Studies----The students will learn about "Our Continent" and "Earth". The students will also continue their study of "Thanksgiving".
Crafts----The crafts will center around the "Thanksgiving" theme.
