Kindergarten
Phonics----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of the sound that the letter "Aa" makes----keyword----apple. The students will learn that the letter "Aa" is a vowel letter. Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Nn" makes----keyword----nest. The letter "Nn" is a consonant letter.
Reading----The Kindergarten students will read the Sight Words: color, the, is, a, and, you and at. The students will also read the Phonics Words: hat, tag, lag, pat, gag, hot, got, top, pot, tap, lap, gap, hog, lot. hop, pal, nap, pan and ant. The students will also read color words. The students will read the booklet----"Hot, Hot, Hot".
Handwriting ----The Kindergarten students will print the letters----"Aa" and "Nn". The students will also print phonics words sentences.
Math----The Kindergarten students will learn the #9. The terms "Before, Between After" and "As Many As" will also be studied.
Centers----The Kindergarten students will use "Play Dough Letters", "Number and Letter Puzzles", "Flash Cards" and the "Scribble Board" for review of numbers and letters.
Religion----The Kindergarten students will learn about "Ordinary Time in the Church Year" and "God Made All People".
First Grade
Reading----The First Grade students will read the stories----"Boots For Beth" and "Space Pup". The students will read the booklet----"Do You See It?".
English----The First Grade students will continue their study of "Nouns"----"Special Nouns".
Writing----The First Grade students will write spelling words sentences. The students will also write a story about their "Box of Surprises".
Spelling----The First Grade students will review past spelling words.
Math----The First Grade students will learn "Other Names For Numbers". Then, the students will learn about "Tally Charts", "Real Graphs", "Picture Graphs" and "Pictographs".
Centers----The First Grade students will use "Play Dough Words", "Addition Fact Wheels", "Flash Cards With Partners" and the "Scribble Board for review for of spelling words and vocabulary words".
Religion----The First Grade students will learn that "Jesus Had Many Followers".
Science----The students will continue their study of "Animals".
Social Studies----The students will about "Our Country" and "Using Pictures".
