Kindergarten
Phonics----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of the sound that the letter "Ff" makes----keyword----fish. Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Rr" makes----keyword----rabbit. The students will learn that the letters "Ff" and "Rr" are consonant letters.
Reading----The Kindergarten students will read phonics word lists and the phonics booklet----"Frog Ran".
Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will be printing the letters "Ff" and "Rr".
Math----The Kindergarten students will learn to "Identify and Write the Numbers 19 and 20"; "Addition Problems----adding 2, 3 and 4 to numbers".
Religion----The Kindergarten students will learn about why "We celebrate Christmas".
First Grade
Phonics----The First Grade students will learn about the "Final Syllables---"ble", "fle", "ple" and "dle".
Reading----The First Grade students will read the stories----"Tomas Rivera" and "On the Way to the Pond". The students will also read the booklet----"One Night".
English----The First Grade students will continue their study of "Verbs". Then, the students will learn about "Nouns and Verbs" and "Pronouns and Verbs".
Writing----The First Grade students will write a story about a "Castle" and "The First Christmas".
The students will also be writing their own spelling word sentences.
Spelling----The First Grade students will learn spelling words that contain "st". This week's spelling words are: nest, fast, stop, must, step and best. The Challenge Word is: "stick". The Special Writing words are: " your ", " their " and " other ".
Math----The First Grade students will learn about "Venn Diagrams", " Counting by 2's " and "Ordinal Numbers to 31st ". Then, the students will begin a unit about "Money---Nickels and Pennies ".
Religion----The First Grade students will learn about why "We Celebrate Christmas". Then, the students will learn about the "Seven Sacraments ".
Science----The students will continue their study of "Our Earth".
Crafts----The students will make crafts centered around the "Christmas" theme or the "Advent" church season.
