Kindergarten
Phonics----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of the sound that the letter "Ss" makes----keyword----sun. Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Ff" makes----keyword----fish. The students will learn that both the letter "Ss" and the letter "Ff" are consonant letters.
Reading----The Kindergarten students will read phonics word lists and the phonics booklet----"Stan's Pigs".
Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will be printing the letters "Ss" and "Ff". Phonics word sentences will also be printed.
Math----The Kindergarten students will learn to "Identify and Write the Numbers 15, 16,17,18 ,19 and 20. The students will also do "Addition" problems.
Religion----The Kindergarten students will learn that "God Chooses Mary" as the mother of His Son, Jesus.
First Grade
Reading----The First Grade students will be reading the stories----"Did You See Chip?" and "Tomas Rivera". The students will also be reading the phonics booklets----"Carmen Sells Stars" and "One Night".
English----The First Grade students will be reviewing nouns, pronouns, more than one, special nouns, naming yourself last, questions and telling sentences, naming and action parts of a sentence and how a sentence begins and ends.
Writing----The First Grade students will be writing their own story about a whale and an elf.
Spelling----The First Grade students will learn spelling words that have "cl", "fl" or "sl" in them. This week's spelling words are: flap, club, flag, slip, clap, and sled. The Challenge Word is "flower". The Special Writing words are: said, her and here.
Math----The First Grade students will continue to learn to "count by 5's". The students will also learn about "tally marks", "picture graphs", "pictographs", "bar graphs" and "venn graphs".
Religion----The First Grade students will learn that "We Belong to a Parish".
Science----The students will learn "What a Food Chain Is?". Then, the students will start a unit about "Our Earth",
Crafts----The crafts this week will center around "Christmas".
