Kindergarten
Phonics----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of the sound that the letter "Gg" makes----keyword----goat. The students learn that the letter "Gg" is a consonant letter. Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Tt' makes----keyword----tent. The students will learn that the letter "Tt" is a consonant letter. The students will be learning how to put the sounds that the letters----l---o---g make---to sound out the word "log".
Reading----The Kindergarten students will be reading color words---red, blue and yellow.
Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will be printing the letter "Gg" and "Tt". The students will also be printing their first name.
Math----The Kindergarten students will be reviewing the "circle" shape. The students will be learning the number "3". The students will also be learning about "Patterns"----color patterns, shape patterns and growing patterns.
Religion----In Chapter 5, the Kindergarten students will learn that "God Made the Animals".
Science----The Kindergarten students will learn the difference between "Real and Pretend" things.
Social Studies----The Kindergarten students will be learning about "Family Rules", "Our Country" and "Our World".
First Grade
Phonics----The First Grade students will learn the sound that the letter "Pp" makes----keyword----pig.
Reading----The First Grade students will continue reading the story----"Ants". Then, the students will read the booklet----"Tim and Pam". Next, the students will read the story----"Jack and Rick".
Handwriting----The First Grade students will be printing the letter "Pp".
Writing----The First Grade students will be writing their own "Ant" story.
English----The First Grade students will be learning about "Telling Sentences". The students will learn that a telling sentence tells something about someone or something. A telling sentences also begins with a capital letter, ends with a end mark called a period and makes sense.
Spelling----The First Grade students will be reviewing their past spelling words. This week's spelling words are: an, can, ran, had, bad, cat, in, did, six, pig, big and sit.
Math----The First Grade students will be learning how to compare numbers----equal to, less than or greater than. Then, the students will learn about "Ordinals 1st Through 10th". Next. the students will learn about "Addition and Addition Sentences".
Social Studies----The First Grade students will be learning about "Family Rules, "Our Country" and "Our World".
