What's Happening This Week-----April 24th Through April 28th

I hope everyone had a Happy and Blessed Easter.

Kindergarten Phonics----The Kindergarten students will learn the sound that the letter "Xx" makes----keyword---fox.  Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Ww" makes----keyword----wagon.

Kindergarten Reading----The Kindergarten students will read phonics word lists and the phonics booklet "Spin a Web".

Kindergarten Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will be printing the letters "Xx" and "Ww".  The students will also  print their first and their last name and phonics words and phonics word sentences.

Kindergarten Math----The students will be "Counting and Writing to 100", "Reviewing Money", "Reviewing Counting by Tens and Tens and Ones", "Reviewing Before, in Front of", "Left and Right", "On", "Between", "Above", "Outside" and "Counting by 5's".

Kindergarten Religion----
The Kindergarten students will be learning about "Easter".  The students will be coloring a "Happy Cross' or "The Resurrection Cross".  The students will be listening to the story about "The Little Seed".  This story reminds us that when we plant a seed, we do not expect the same seed to come up.  The seed changes into something else----like Jesus' resurrection.  In Chapter 27, the students will learn that the Church celebrates Jesus' life and love. We celebrate Easter and Jesus' new life.

Kindergarten Social Studies----The Kindergarten students will be learning about "The U.S. Capitol", "Communities----City, Town and Farm", "Using Pictures and Maps", "Using the Calendar" and "Charts".

Kindergarten Crafts----The Kindergarten crafts have to do with "Easter" and "Spring".
