A special thanks to all of the room mothers who helped at our Kindergarten Classroom Valentine's Day Party. Also, a special thanks to everyone who sent treats to the Valentine's Day Party. Everyone had a wonderful time at our Valentine's Day Party.
I would like to thank everyone who gave me a Valentine's Day card or gift.
Kindergarten Phonics----The Kindergarten students will continue with their study of the sound that the letter "Cc" makes----keyword----cat. The Kindergarten students have learned that the letter "Cc" is a consonant letter. Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Ee" makes----keyword----elephant. The students will learn that the letter "Ee" is a vowel letter.
Kindergarten Reading----The Kindergarten students will be reading phonics word lists, phonics word sentences and the phonics booklet-----"Ben is Ten". Some of the "Cc" words to be read will be: cut, can, cup, cat, cast, cot, scan, cap, clap, cost, camp, scab, cuff, cross, crisp, craft, class, clam and cab. Some of the "Ee" words to be read will be: net, bell, leg, step, nest, mess, get, help, ten, tell, spell and rest. Some of the "Sight Words" to be read will be: four, to, into, the from, of, one and has.
Kindergarten Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will be printing the letters "Cc" and "Ee". Phonics words and phonics word sentences will also be printed. The students will be printing their first and last name.
Kindergarten Math----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of "Addition". Then a unit on "Money" will be started. The students will learn about the "Penny and the Nickel".
Kindergarten Religion----The Kindergarten students will learn about "Lent".
Kindergarten Science----The Kindergarten students will learn that "Heating and Cooling Changes Matter". Then, the students will start a unit on "Energy"----Sound, Light and Heat.
Kindergarten Crafts----The crafts this week will center around the letter "Cc", Dr. Seuss's birthday and Lent.
