Kindergarten
Phonics----The Kindergarten students will learn the sound that the letter "Cc" makes----keyword----cat. The students will learn that the letter "Cc" is a consonant letter.
Reading----The Kindergarten students will read some pages out of the Dr. Seuss book----"Hop on Pop". The students will also read some "Cc" words. The "Cc" words to be read are: cat, cut, can, cup, cast, cross, cost, cab, class, clap, clam, cuff, scab, crisp and craft. The Sight Words to be read are: to, is, four, the, if, into, from, has and of. Phonics words list will also be read.
Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will be printing the letter "Cc" and some phonics words.
Math----The Kindergarten students will "Explore Fourths". Then, the students will learn about "Joining" {addition }..
Religion----The Kindergarten students will learn that "Jesus is Our Friend and That Jesus is Always With Us".
Science----The Kindergarten students will learn about the "Seasons". Then, the students will learn about "Positions----Where Things Are?"
First Grade
Reading.----The First Grade students will be reading the story-----"At Home Around the World".
The students will also be reading the booklet----"Eating Yummy Cake". The students will be reading some pages from a Dr. Seuss book.
Phonics----The First Grade students will learn that the letter "y" can make the long :Ee" sound as in the word yummy. The students will also learn the "Digraph "ng" and the Suffix "ing", the "Suffix "ed", the Digraph "ee",and the "vc/cv" { vowel consonant/ consonant vowel} Rule".
English----The First Grade students will learn about "Adjectives".
Spelling----The First Grade students will learn "More Long "Aa" words". This week's spelling words are: play, rain, say, way, sail, day, mail, stay, may and pain. The Challenge Words are: today and afraid. The Special Words are: too, soon and hear.
Writing----The First Grade students will be writing their own stories called "Make and Bake", "Three Seeds" and "The Beehive".
Math----The First Grade students will learn about "Bar Graphs", "Equal Parts", "One Half,1/2 " and "One Third, 1/3".
Social Studies----The students will continue their study of "Maps".
