Kindergarten
Phonics----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of the sound that the letter "Uu" makes----keyword----umbrella. Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Zz" makes----keyword----zebra.
Reading----The Kindergarten students will read phonics word lists and phonics booklets.
Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will print the letters "Uu" and "Zz".
Math----The Kindergarten students will learn about "Tally Mark Charts", "Picture Graphs", Pictographs" and "Bar Graphs".
Religion----The Kindergarten students will learn that "We Pray as Jesus Did".
Science----The Kindergarten students will learn about "Weather----Windy Weather and Snowy Weather". Then, the students will learn about "Measuring Weather" and "Seasons".
First Grade
Reading----The First Grade students will read the story "A Bed Full of Cats" and the booklet----"Patch's Treat". Then, the students will read the story "Me on the Map" and the booklet----"Baseball". A "Long Ee" booklet will be read----"Pete's Sheep".
English----The First Grade students will continue their study of "Contractions". Then, the students will learn about "Words That Look the Same--but have different meanings".
Spelling----The First Grade students will be learning words that have the "Long Vowel Sound". The spelling words are: same, like, stone, smile, note, side, wake, woke, wide and wave. The Challenge Words are: beside and space.
Math----The First Grade students will learn about "Finding Missing Addends", "Mixed Practice", "Problem Solving" and "Venn Diagram".
Social Studies--The First Grade students will learn about "Finding the Main Idea". Then, the students will learn about "Maps". On Friday, March 2nd, the students will learn about Dr. Seuss"
Story Time----The students will listen to "Bible Stories".
