What's Happening This Week----Monday, November 28th Through Friday, December 2nd

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Just -a -Reminder:

The OLOSS Christmas Program will be on Sunday, December 4th after the 10:00 am Mass in the school gym.

On Thursday, December 8th the Kindergarten/ Preschool classes will be having their class field trip.  The Kindergarten students may dress down for the field trip.

This Week:

Kindergarten Phonics:   The Kindergarten students will continue learning the sound that the letter "Mm" makes----keyword----monkey.  The students learn that the letter "Mm" is a consonant letter.  Then, the Kindergarten students will learn the sound that the letter "Ii" makes---keyword----inch.  The students will learn that the letter "Ii" is a vowel letter.

Kindergarten Reading:  The Kindergarten students will be reading many "Mm" words.  The "Mm" words to be read are:  mop, ham, mat, man and mom.  The students will also be reading word lists and the phonics booklet----"Hop on the Mop".

Kindergarten Handwriting:  The Kindergarten students will be printing their first name, the letters "Mm" and "Ii".

Kindergarten Math:  The Kindergarten students will be reviewing "First Through Tenth Ordinal Numbers", "Identify and Write Numbers 11, 12 13 and 14'' and "Comparing and Ordering Numbers to 12"

Kindergarten Religion:  The Kindergarten students will be learning about the season of "Advent".  "Advent' means a special time in the year when we wait for the coming of God's Son, Jesus. The Kindergarten students will be making "Advent" wreaths and learning about the "Advent" wreath.

Kindergarten Science:  The Kindergarten students will learn about "Plants Grow and Change" and "Habitats----"Houses for Living Things".

Kindergarten Social Studies:  The Kindergarten students will learn about " Families and Change' and "Directions".

Kindergarten Crafts:  The Kindergarten crafts will center around the "Advent" and "Christmas" season.
