Phonics----The students will continue learning about the sound that the letter "Vv" makes----keyword---vest. The students have learned that the letter "Vv" is a consonant. Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Jj" makes---keyword----jar.The students will also be learning about word families.
Reading----The students will be reading word lists and phonics booklets. The sight word---do----will be learned. Word family words will be read. "Vv" and "Jj" words will also be read.
Handwriting----The students will be printing the letters "Vv" and "Jj".
Writing----The students will be writing and illustrating their own sentences.
Math----The students will continue their study of "Money----Coins---pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters". Addition problems will also be done.
Religion----In Chapter 25, the students will learn that "We Care About Others As Jesus Did".
Science----The students will continue learning about "Pulls----Gravity". Then, a unit on "Magnets" will be studied. The students will also be learning about "Science Skills" and "Science Tools".
Crafts-----The crafts this week will center around "St. Patrick's Day".
