Phonics----The students will continue their study of the sound that the letter "Ss" makes----keyword---sun. Then, the students will begin their study of the sound that the letter "Ff" makes---keyword----fish. The students will learn that the letter "Ff" is a consonant. The students will also learn the sound that "st" makes----keyword---stocking.
Reading----The students will be reading the phonics booklet-----"Stan's Pigs". The students will also be reading phonics word lists. Color words will continue to be read.
Handwriting----The students will be printing the letters---"Ss" and "Ff". The students will also be printing phonics words and their first name.
Math----The students will be learning about -----"pictographs, bar graphs, identify and write 13, 14, 15 and 16. Dot-to-dot worksheets will be done. The students will be writing numbers from 0-16. Many hands-on activities will be done.
Religion----In Chapter 13, the students will be learning about "Advent"----it is a time of waiting for the birth of Jesus. We prepare for the coming of the Son of God. Many "Advent" crafts will be done.
Science----The students will be learning about Earth's "Water".
Social Studies----The students will learn about----"Map Keys" and "Using Picture Graphs".
Crafts----The students will be making "Advent" crafts, doing Christmas stickers and Christmas crafts.
