Phonics----The students will continue learning about the sound that the letter "Gg" makes----keyword---"goat" The students will be sounding out the phonics word----"l--o--g". The students will be learning the rule: A vowel followed by a consonant is short, coded with a bree. The students will be wearing "letter vests" with the letters "l"---"o" and "g" on the letter vests. The students will learn how to sound out the word "log". Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Hh" makes---keyword---"hat". The students will then be sounding out the phonics word----"h--o--g". The students will be wearing "letter vests" to help them sound out the word "h--o--g".
Reading----The students will be reading the phonics words----"log" and "hog". Color words and number words will also be read.
Handwriting----The students will be printing the letters "Gg" and "Hh". The phonics words "log" and "hog" will also be printed. The students will be printing their first name.
Math----The students will be learning about the "number 4"----printing the number four and counting 4 objects. The students will also be learning about the "rectangle shape and the color "green". The students will be printing the number 0-4. The students will be learning about the terms: above, below, top, middle, bottom, over, on, under, inside and outside.
Religion----In Chapter 5, the students will be learning that "God Made All the Animals".
Science----The students will be learning about "Animals". Animals have many different body coverings and animals move in many different ways.
Social Studies----The students will be learning about "Rules" A rule tells you what you can do and what you can not do. The students will also be learning about the "Earth".
