Phonics----The boys and girls will continue learning the sound that the letter "Hh" makes---keyword---hat. Then, the boys and girls will learn the sound that the letter "Tt" makes---keyword---tent. The students will learn that the letter "Tt" is a consonant.
Reading----The students will be reading the phonics words----"hot, hog, log, lot , tot". The students will also be reading the color words, especially the color word----brown. Number words are also being read.
Handwriting----The students will be printing the letter "Hh" and "Tt". The students will also be printing their first name and phonics words.
Math----The students will be learning about the number "6"----down to a loop, six rolls a hoop. The students will also be learning about the terms---left, right, between, before, and after. The students will be counting objects and using ten-frames to count.
Religion----In Chapter 7, the students will learn that "We Celebrate the Life and Teaching of Jesus in Ordinary Time".
Science----The students will learn that "Animals Grow and Change". Animals have a life cycle.
Social Studies----The students will learn about "Our Country", "Our World", "Earth" and "Johnny Appleseed".
Thank you to everyone who donated Book Fair books to our classroom. Everyone is enjoying listening to the stories.
Crafts This Week: The students will be making , decorating, and wearing a "hat"---- to help them remember the sound that the letter "Hh" makes. The students will also be making the "Johnny Appleseed" hat and other Johnny Appleseed crafts---such as Johnny Appleseed stickers, and Johnny Appleseed coloring worksheets.
