What's Happening This Week-----October 31st Through November 4th

On Monday, October 31st, the Kindergarten students will be doing many Halloween craft activities in the classroom.  The students will be decorating Halloween cookies to eat,  making Halloween shapes out of play dough using a cookie cutter, making a Halloween bracelet and necklace, making a paper plate pumpkin, making a foam pumpkin, decorating a owl sticker in a Halloween costume and coloring a Halloween fuzzy picture.
Then, in the afternoon on Monday, October 31st,  the Kindergarten students will participate in the Our Lady of the Snows School Halloween Parade.  Later, the Kindergarten students will be having their Classroom Halloween Party. 

 Kindergarten Phonics----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of the sound that the letter "Aa" makes----keyword----apple.  Then, the students will learn the sound that the letter "Nn" makes----keyword----nest.

Kindergarten Reading----The Kindergarten students will be reading phonics words and color words.  The students will also be learning the sight words----"a" and "the".

Kindergarten Handwriting----The Kindergarten students will be printing the letters "Aa" and "Nn".

Kindergarten Math----The Kindergarten students will continue their study of the number "8".  Then, the number "9" will be studied.  The students will also be learning the terms-----"In Front", "Behind", "Before", "Between" and "After".

Kindergarten Religion----The Kindergarten students will learn in Chapter 11, that "We Learn About God With Our Families".

Kindergarten Science----The Kindergarten students will learn about "Plants".

Kindergarten Social Studies----The Kindergarten students will learn about-----"What is a Leader?"  and "Votes Count".
